The Malawi Regulatory Authority has ceased alcoholic beverages that were being entered into the country through tax evasion.

Prior to the above, MRA ceased smuggled sugar into the country; a warning to smugglers that the tax firm is lurking the borders.

Meanwhile local alcoholic beverage companies lament of smuggled beer, as the malpractice negatively affects sales of legit registered and tax paying brands.
