The Malawi Revenue Authority has notified all staff that its offices will be operational, even during the 21 day lockdown issued by the government.
According to the notice signed by MRA Commissioner General Tom Malata, the authority will not close operations since it has been categorized as one of the key Government bodies that is providing essential services.
While the notice has emphasized that the members of staff will work in adherence to the authority’s COVID-19 recovery plan, Malata has also outlined that some of the staff members will be working on shifts or at home, in order to decongest the workplace. Meanwhile, all staff members have been urged to carry their MRA identification card.
