During the sidelines of performances by a Chinese Cultural Troupe as part of the 2020 Chinese New Year celebrations, it was announced that the Malawi University of Science and Technology (Must) will construct a shopping mall and an industrial park.

According to Must Vice-Chancellor, Address Malata, the above is part of the university’s expansion drive. “The university needs to move forward. We need other buildings, we don’t have, for instance, staff houses and this is one of the initiatives that we want to see happen.” she said.

Currently, there is already a foundation for a full mall as the uni is looking for partners. Must is a public university in Thyolo in South Malawi. It was established on 17 December 2012.
