The Government of Malawi has increased the quota for poultry farmers exporting to mozambique, allowing them to export up to 100 metric tons of poultry and poultry products this festive season.
The development follows as a result of the Malawi-Mozambique ministerial meeting, where the two country’s Ministers of Trade discussed, among others, the ease of import/export restrictions.
Announcing the news, the Secretary of Trade, Christina Zakeyo called on Small and Medium businesses to group together. “I would recommend that you export not as individuals but rather work in groups to benefit from the opportunity” said Zakeyo in a press statement.
