A statement by the Malawi Post Corporation (MPC) has announced the resumption of its coach services, effective August 30, 2020.
The statement, signed by MPC Deputy Director of Public Relations, Aida Nkolimbo, confirmed that the coach will be back as normal connecting the major cities of Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu, whilst following strict adherence to Covid-19 prevention measures governing public transport operations.
The coach services follow as means to expand the parastatal’s revenue base; last year MPC obtained a K700 million bank loan using its office complex in Blantyre as collateral to buy seven buses from China.
