National Bank of Malawi is participating in a tree planting exercise, partnering with Malawi Defence Force, aiming to to plant over 26,000 trees within the rainfall season.
This is the third time that the two partnered for the same cause, with MDF Ninety-Three Brigade Commander, Colonel Blaze Saenda expressed his concern over deforestation’s effects in the country and commended NBM for investing in the initiative.
NBM Chief Executive Officer Macfussy Kawawa said the commitment to plant trees is part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility.
