From 1 October 2020, Harold Jiya will serve as National Bank of Malawi (NBM) deputy chief executive officer and chief commercial officer.

A statement announcing the above development has vouched for Jiya as he has worked with the bank for 15 years, serving as Head of Corporate Banking, with experience in International Trade, Asset Finance, Credit, Structured Finance, Corporate and Agriculture Lending.

Jiya holds a master of business administration ( MBA) from Exeter University – United Kingdom, and a bachelor of accountancy degree from the Polytechnic of the  University of Malawi.
