NBM DONATES TO FIMDA LAKE CONFERENCE

National Bank of Malawi (NBM) on Wednesday gave K500,000 to the Financial Market Dealer’s Association (Fimda) for hosting of its 2019 lake conference.

The conference will be held in Mangochi from October 11 to 132019 under the theme; Navigating Next Level for the Economy and Financial Markets. According to Fimda Treasurer, Douglas Nyirenda, the conference will address product innovations in declining margins within Malawi and beyond. Also attending the conference will be government officials and key contributors to the financial markets to strategise on dealing with adversities in the industry.

Handing over the donation, NBM Treasury Sales Manager, Grace Linda Phiri, said the bank has supported Fimda’s conference as it would help grow the profession. “We are very grateful for the donation that we have received today from NBM plc. It is not the first time that the bank has helped us, it has been supporting us for a long time and we really appreciate their support,” said Nyirenda.
