National Bank of Malawi posted numerous share price gains, the highest being NBM, registering an increment of 8.82%, in the 3rd week of May’s Stock Market, from 17/5/2019 to 24/5/2019.
Other share price gains were MPICO (5.71%)
ILLOVO (5.00%) TNM (1.75%), according to a report by Alliance Stockbrockers Limited. The review for the 3rd week of may reads, “MASI continues to gain in the week under review closing at 28 728.11 points gaining 2.18%. DSI gained by 2.61% due to price gains from NBM, MPICO, ILLOVO and TNM.
The report notes that FSI continues to remain constant at 4 521.94 points due to constant share prices in OMU and FMBCH. During the week in review, the market traded a total of 71 242 281 shares with a total turnover of MK 4 633 858 860.00. PCL (44%) and TNM (34%) were the value leaders while TNM (77%) and NICO (10%) were the volume leaders.
