In commemorating the international corruption day, the National Bank of Malawi sponsored the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) with conference t-shirts valued at K1 million.
NBM Chief Risk Officer, Charles Ulaya, also attributed the donation as part of the bank’s fight towards fighting corruption. “If we can fight corruption we can achieve economic growth and infrastructure development”. On the other hand, ACB Deputy Director General Elia Bodole, thanked the bank for the donation
The International Anti-Corruption Day has been observed annually, on 9 December, since the passage of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption on 31 October 2003 to raise public awareness for anti-corruption.
