NBS Bank plc has launched an e-commerce platform called N-Genius, aimed at offering small and medium enterprises (SMEs), large corporations, public institutions and individuals a fast and secure way to enter the rapidly growing e-commerce market in Malawi.
Announcing the above in a statement, NBS Bank plc chief executive officer Kwanele Ngwenya, described the platform as a sophisticated, yet low-cost solution, which will not only help grow, but further engage their customer base and help drive online commerce across many segments in the country.
The platform is powered by Network International, an enabler of digital commerce across Africa and the Middle East. The managing director of Network International Africa, Andrew Key, outlined that his firm is proud to provide NBS Bank the latest cutting-edge technology.
The innovation arrives amidst the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in Malawi, as digital means of payments has been recommended to avoid hard cash, being means of transmitting the virus.
