As Airtel Malawi celebrates a subscription mark of five million which was registered in December last year, Airtel has introduced a new number range for new subscribers/./

According to the telecoms company’s Facebook page the new range is 098XXX. “We couldn’t get this big without you, so congratulations on getting us to 5M subscribers, thank you for getting us to our new number range 098XXX.” says part of the post.

Also in celebration of reaching 5 million subscribers, Airtel Malawi has launched the ‘Airtel Yabeba’ promotion, offering a grand prize of  K5million and consolation cash prizes of K100, 000 monthly and K10, 000 weekly respectively. To stand a chance of winning, subscribers should recharge with a minimum of K100 worth of airtime which automatically makes the respective subscriber qualify for the million kwacha prizes. Throughout the promotion, there will also be various prizes including free minutes, Data and SMSs for use at night from 9 pm to 5 am valid for 3 days. The promotion will run from May 13 to August 15 as a gesture of thanks.
