During NICO Holdings Plc virtual annual general meeting (AGM) it was announced that the company has posted K21 billion as profit before tax for the year ended 31st December, 2019.
NICO Holdings’ chairman Gaffar Hassam attributed the above to good performance from the banking and asset management businesses. Following the results, the board of directors declared K469 million as dividend for its shareholders at 45 tambala per share.
The company continues to do well despite the COVID-19 pandemic which has greatly affected business operations in most Malawian companies as well as globally since the beginning of this year. Meanwhile, figures concerning this year’s performance show that despite the coronavirus pandemic, the company is performing profitably.
