Being one of the areas that were severely affected by cyclone Idai, Mulanje registered hundreds of displaced households, who are now in camps. Nissan Malawi donated relief items worth K5.5 million to 200 people in Mwanankhu Camp in Mulanje district.
Nissan Mw, presented the donation to the camp through its Sales Manager Janeen Abobeleira and Finance Manager Theodore Katandula, who donated clothes, 20Litre buckets, Plastic Cups and Plates, 10 Kg Maize Flour, Likuni Phala, Cooking Oil, Kapenta, Salt, Tea leaves, Vaseline and Soya Pieces.
The relief items helped 200 displaced people in need; the camp is one of many that is hosting families affected by floods in the southern regions of Malawi. Mwanakhu Camp was identified and recommended to Nissan by Red Cross Malawi.
