In helping the prevention of spreading the corona virus, Our Aim Foundation (OAF) donated reusable masks and soap at Area 3 Police Station and Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) in Lilongwe, not long after the foundation initiated a prevention program in Mchinji district.
During the donation, OAF Chairperson, Shobi Jiwa attributed the donation to the organisation’s promotion of good health of the people in Malawi, amidst the corona virus pandemic. “We thought it wise to distribute reusable masks together with its Chichewa user manuals and soap to police and KCH in order to help police officers at the police and patients at the hospital to prevent themselves from COVID-19” said Jiwa.
The organization distributed at least 150 masks to police and 250 Masks, asKCH Director, Jonathan Ngoma commended OAF for its gesture, while Lilongwe Police Assistant Commissioner, Sydon Mpina appreciated OAF for the thoughtful and timely donation.
Moving forward with the fight against the pandemic, OAF will donate to other institutions across the country including the military camps, prisons and orphanages. Jiya also revealed that the foundation will soon start producing hand sanitizers which will be freely distributed to people in the country, especially those who are in rural areas in order for them to protect themselves from corona virus.
