Operation Smile Malawi donated assorted Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) worth K20 million to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (Qech) to help in the fight against coronavirus, Operation Smile Malawi Programs Manager, Ibrahim Ntalika attributed the gesture to helping Qech fight against the virus.
Receiving the donation, Qech Chief Nursing Officer, Feggie Bodole, outlined that the equipment will help protect health workers and patients altogether. “Health workers are the ones on the forefront fighting and any help in this regard is important and worth appreciating.” said Bodole.
Various entities are giving towards health workers in hospitals; last month, Standard Bank Malawi yesterday donated K90 million-worth of personal protective equipment (PPE), which were distributed to all major referral hospitals in the country.
