The Malawi Stock Exchange has registered a 2.20% decrease in share value in January 2019. Registering a month-on-month return index of -0.60%, MSE records January’s daily turnover of K112.2m compared to compared to K114.7m in December 2018.
As the Reserve Bank of Malawi has lowered its policy rate to 14.5% among other reforms, investors are likely to take interest in the capital market and the rest of the months will show a major improvement.
