A Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) council will be established to oversee the sector’s development.

National Small and Medium Enterprises (Nasme) coordinator William Mwale confirmed that as government is considering the establishment of the SMEs council, alongside an SMEs bill that is also in the works.

The SMEs bill will be presented during the next parliamentary seating. Meanwhile SMEs are being tipped on various procedures like registration and exports.
