South Africa has resumed its oil and gas exploration. A 180km south of Mossel bay in the western cape, a team has been assigned, working tirelessly and hoping that one of the two will be found.
Experts have said that while such an exercise had taken place before, the deeper waters have never been explored, hence there should be a different result this time around.
As of February 2nd this year, the responsible officials reported accessing the final depth and drilling will begin. Fuel Franchise Total had stopped drilling in 2914 because of currency setbacks, as the installed infrastructure was expensively imported from Norway and was state of the art; built to survive harsh weather conditions. Should Gas or Oil be found, the nation will sing a new song as the weakening rand will be a thing of the past.
