About K83 billion has been made in Soybean exports, according to Figures from the Ministry of Trade.
The sum has been made after exporting 157,750,680 kilograms (kg), according to figures from the Ministry of Trade. The Ministry’s spokesperson Mayeso Msokera said Soybeans had performed well this year and offered strong potential for export diversification in view of the expected sustained demand from both regional and international markets.
In 2019, Agriculture Commodity Exchange (ACE) Chief Executive Officer, Kristian Schach Møller, said that the demand for the commodity was rising as buying prices were at their highest at K335 per kg. “There is healthy competition on the market as buyers are still keen to buy.” he said.
