Standard Bank Malawi has announced the appointment of Phillip Madinga as the Bank’s new Chief Executive Officer, taking over from William Le Roux, effective 1 January 2021.
A statement signed by the Bank’s Board Chairman, Ngeyi Ruth Kanyongolo, has vouched for Madinga, following his 25+ years experience in banking and financial services. “Phillip has had a highly successful career over the past few years in leading, managing, growing business and driving financial performance for several Banks” said part of the statement.
The Standard Bank Malawi Board has expressed confidence in Madinga’s capabilities to carry the bank to the future. On the other hand, the statement recognized the preceding CEO, William Le Roux. Says part of the statement; “..Bill laid the foundation for a sound financial services institution capable of delivering world class banking services and products in line with the bank’s customer-centricity and digitization objectives.”
