Following a grading exercise by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism, Sunbird Nkopola and City hotel Sunbird Lilongwe have been accredited a 3-Star rating.
According to a statement by Sunbird Hotels and Resorts, the 3-Star rating follows the intensive and extensive product improvement investment for both Sunbird Nkopola and Sunbird Lilongwe. “The resort and hotel underwent an extensive product upgrade that saw the accommodation rooms upgraded with modern facilities.” says the statement, “The two properties were fitted with modern amenities and facilities including hi speed WIFI, Digital Satellite Television, Workstations, Mini Bars and storage facilities for guests.”
Chief Executive Officer for Sunbird Hotels and Resorts, Yusuf Olela, said that the 3-star rating is an affirmation of the quality of the hotel’s products and services which are continuously improved. “The upgraded and renovated rooms perfectly compliment the investment in the new boardrooms, the New Malindi bar, gym, and Watersports equipment at Sunbird Nkopola and Lounge 265, new boardrooms and gym at Sunbird Lilongwe. The 3-star rating is therefore an assurance of a great product and service for our guests” said Olela.
