Tea Association of Malawi (Taml), has revealed that tea demand by buyers has been reduced by 3%.

Taml chairperson Sangwani Hara explained that the above is due to oversupply. He also noted that consumption trends from to green, leaf and herbal teas has influenced the demand reduction.

The demand decrease has come after the tea yield was promising due to good rains this year.
