The Media Institute of Southern Africa (Misa) has awarded Times Television as the best electronic media house of the year, under the television category. The accolade counts as two consecutive wins for Times TV, defining the television station as a force to be reckoned with.

Hailing the television station for its programming, one of Misa award’s Judges Upile Muhariwa commended Times TV for managing to reach diverse audiences. Thankful for the award, the Times Group Editor-In-Chief George Kasakula still stressed that the award was no cause to relax, as he revealed that there is more work to do for the Group’s subsidiaries, namely Times radio and newspapers. “There is competition there and these awards will help us see where we have not done well” said Kasakula.

Times Group not only won the Misa award for the second time, but celebrated its 11 journalists who also received various awards.
