Maize flour, soya pieces, buckets, plates, cooking oil, salt and airtime, are items donated to cater for 500 families in 14 districts that have been affected by heavy rain and flooding.

The donated relief items worth K8.7 million were donated to the Malawi Red Cross Society, with a ceremonial dummy cheque presented to Malawi Red Cross Society Director of Programs and Development, Prisca Chisala, who thanked TNM for the donation, stating that it would be distributed to affected families in Chikwawa, Nsanje and Phalombe districts.

TNM Head of Marketing, Sibhuza Ngwenya, said the donation underscores his firm’s commitment to responding to the state of disaster declaration and ease the pain and suffering of the affected communities.
