Figures from the last week’s stock market have shown that TNM plc registered a 6.83% drop in share price.
A weekly report by Alliance Stockbrokers Limited has also indicated that MASI fell to 29 525.76 points, 1.43%
lower than recorded in the previous week, as the decrease has also been attributed to TNM’s share price drop.
On the other hand, the market recorded a turnover of MK 1 224 370 239.43 up from MK 649 877 369.12 recorded in the previous week. PCL (81%) was the value leader with MPICO (85%) as the volume leader.
In other news, the Malawi kwacha picked up against the dollar From K774 to K758.9 as at close of business last Tuesday. The news is a relief, after in mid June, for the first time ever, the Malawi Kwacha registered trading at K800 against the dollar, from around K740 in March.
