TRADE MINISTER IMPRESSED WITH $100m BUSINESS PARK – Malawi News Online
Touring the construction of the international Grand Business Park in Lilongwe, Trade, Industry and Tourism Minister, Salim Bagus, said he is impressed with the progress thus far.
According to Malawi Investment and Trade Centre (MITC) Chief Executive Officer Clement Kumbemba, the construction, which started in 2017, is a result of the 2015 Malawi Investment Forum (MIF) which the government hosted. The business park, located in Area 46, is being promoted by China Lilongwe Grand Holding Corporation Limited Company, which was registered in Malawi in August 2015.
In similar news, Transport Minister Ralph Jooma toured the construction of the multi-billion interchange in Area 18, where he learnt that the project is expected to miss its deadline, due to time taken to clear some areas including a cemetery on the site.
