Creative Centre for Community Mobilization (CRECCOM) has called upon traditional leaders as well as community members in Thyolo district to follow precautionary measures, in order to halt the spread of Coronavirus.
The call follows 6 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of cases to 23, as announced yesterday by the Ministry of Health Principal Secretary (PS) Dan Namarika. CRECCOM Community engagement officer, Thomas Chimwaza, said with the COVID-19 pandemic, health workers risk their lives while assisting suspected or confirmed cases of the pandemic, hence the need for strong collaboration with the community to stop the virus.
Sub-Traditional Authority Mangazi lauded CRECCOM for the meeting saying they now they are able to decipher fact from opinion as regards the pandemic. “The message we have obtained, will be spread to others so that together we can win the fight against Coronavirus pandemic,” said Mangazi.
