As of 8pm last night, there was a delay in the arrival/delivery of goods on trucks due to a strike truck drivers had during the said time.

A circular by G4S Secure Logistics has outlined that its trucks have ben delayed due to the strike, as cause for the strike is currently unknown. Reads the circular, “We got a notification of Truck driver’s strike last night around 8PM while we had already dispatched our overnight trucks.”

The circular further states that the trucks from Blantyre and Lilongwe were all detained at Bunda and only released this morning at 6AM. “This has badly affected our service delivery in the Southern region and we expect Trucks arrival in Blantyre around noon”.
