United General Insurance (UGI) birthed a motor vehicle policy product dubbed AutoPrice. UGI Chief Executive Officer, Bywell Chiwoni announced that Autoprice is a buildup on the company’s existing product, AutoServe – which uses telematics to provide value added services. He hailed the product as a means of creating a culture of good driving.
“Through AutoPrice, customers will be able to interact with their insurer by getting feedback on the way they are driving and suggesting improvement measures. This will eventually lead to customers unlocking benefits that would otherwise not have been available. Driver style information will be readily available for clients on an interactive application, Once one signs up to the policy, they will be requested to sign up on the Drivers Mobile App,” Chiwoni said adding that the innovation is in line with UGI’s strategic direction and represents the bold commitment towards fulfilling its promise to move customers forward along with it on the journey into the future.
Prior to the introduction of Autoprice, United General Insurance has announced that it will slash 15% off its comprehensive motor vehicle policies. Chiwoni attributed the development to the insurance firm’s commitment of attending to customer needs.
“With this discount, UGI is re-writing the rules of access to insurance by offering 15% discount attached to out comprehensive motor insurance policies to make them more accessible, flexible and cheaper to the customers”. said the CEO.
