However, Peermount Global canceled management of agreement.
“We would like to inform the general public, our esteemed clients and suppliers that after 5 years of enjoying a healthy relationship, Umodzi Holdings Limited and Peermont Global Limited have mutually agreed to part ways amicably.” says a notice by Umodzi Holdings Limited.
During a booker’s cocktail in Lilongwe, Umodzi Holdings Limited CEO Master Maliro said the Malawi Government wants the facilities to be managed by local expertise. “It is now up to us to manage this business. We would like to assure our customers that everything else will remain the same. Peermount left four months ago and we have managed the managed the facility all the while”
Meanwhile, customers have expressed confidence in Umodzi Holdings Limited, saying that since Peermount left, services have gotten better at the President’s Walmount Hotel. “Previously, under Peermount, we had challenges to acquire credit facilities because the process was complex” said Patricia Namasiku, a booker representing International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (Icrisat).
