The Competition and Fair Trading Commission (CFTC) has announced that it has organised a series of business clinics for private sector enterprises, hotels, lodges and manufacturing companies.
According to a circular, business clinic officials from CFTC will engage stakeholders in the specific sectors, on their rights and obligations under the CFTC Act and Consumer Protection Act.
The business clinic follows after CFTC was praised by a delegation from the Competition Authority of Botswana that appreciated how Malawi is performing on consumer protection laws. To be covered at the clinic will be the following topics among others;
Consumer rights and traders obligations
Consumer Protection; What constitutes unfair trading prices and other case studies

How the Commission deals with competition and consumer conditions
