TNM plc has outwardly denied claims associated with being involved in the rigging of the May 21 Tripartite elections.

In a statement released recently, management of the telecoms company has had its say on the matter; the statement reads “Telekom Networks Malawi PLC would like to inform the general public that it is not involved in any plans to rig the the forthcoming elections in Malawi”

The statement is in response to circulating rumors amidst Malawians, as the campaign season has seen candidates throwing rigging accusations around. In its statement, TNM plc has says “As a regulated network operator in Malawi, TNM PLC is not involved in any law breaking plans in any way.”
