Malawi Women in Mining Association (MAWIMA) launched the 2019 to 2023 strategic plan that will see various developments implemented for women in the mining sector.

The strategic plan is addressing challenges and constraints faced by women in the sector, as well as encouraging women’s participation and empowerment in the sector.

MAWIMA has been urged by John Makina, the Oxfam Malawi Country Director, to be organized that any financial support is well invested. This was said as Oxfam Malawi has been advancing extractive and mining sector for locals’ welfare, appealed for women.
