The Malawi Bureau of standards (MBS) , along with the Pharmacy, Medicines and Poisons Boards (PMPB) has issued a ban on importation and sale of Zambian produced Revin Tangawizi Drink and Revin Natural Power SX High Energy Drink.

The ban of both beverages is because they contain Sildenafil Citrat which is an erectile dysfunction drug. In a press statement issued by MBS and PMPB said the element present in both drinks pose a health hazard to unsuspecting consumers.

In resolve to the matter, MBS has issued a recall on all products from Revin Malawi Limited and Gatbro International, as consumers have been urged against buying and consuming the products until further notice.
